About Us

About the club

The Toyota LandCruiser Club of Qld is based in Brisbane and is one of the largest 4WD clubs in Queensland. It is affiliated with 4WD Queensland and other state Toyota landcruiser Clubs.

While the club originated as a Toyota club in 1972, TLCCQLD accepts membership from owners of ALL makes of 4WD vehicles. If it has a low box - we'll take it!

Established in 1972 the club currently has over 200 family memberships which translates to a membership of 400+ including partners and children.

Improving driver skills is an important aim of our Club and we offer accredited driver training  courses.

Attending a New Members Day is a mandatory prerequisite for joining a club trip. The New Members Day assumes zero 4WD knowledge and will cover the Emergency Hill Stall procedure, and a snatch strap recovery.

TLCCQLD runs events, trips, and education throughout the year. Trips offer a wide variety of activities for different interests and skill levels.

MONTHLY MEETINGS

Monthly meetings are usually held on the last Monday of the month in the Auditorium of the Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha Road from 6.30pm for a 7.30pm start.

Housekeeping is done by the Management Committee so that the meeting can focus on trip reports, promotion of future trips, training and guest speakers. Visitors are welcome.

4WD TRIPS
TLCCQLD runs a wide range of trips from popular day trips, to weekend trips and some longer intra and interstate trips.

Trips are a great social opportunity to share information about vehicles, modifications and accessories as well as camping gear such as swags, tents, cooking gear, fridges, vehicle camping, trailers and caravans.

Trips are graded from Easy through to Very Difficult.  Travelling with others is a great experience and allows you to use other members' experience to undertake trips safely. When things do not go to plan, the group's skills and knowledge are there to help!

Dogs and children are generally welcome on trips. Contact the trip leader for details.

All trips are advertised on the website here, so you can plan your weekends and holidays well in advance.

Trip suggestions are always welcome. The club is always looking for members who would like to lead trips and provides mentoring and training.
